Minnetonka Black 15U A

Season Recap

I am so proud of the girls on the Minnetonka 15U A Black team. It’s by far the most competitive group of girls I’ve had the privilege to work with, and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to be their coach.

In 41 games, this team scored 179 goals while only allowing 66 with an overall record of 29-8-4. This team was the Stillwater Skate for the Roses champions, winning the title in an exciting 4-on-4 overtime victory against Anoka/Rogers. They also won the EP Prelude to Playoffs tournament, coming back as the wildcard in the finals in a shootout against Edina. They won the National Region and earned themselves a #1 seed in the state tournament.

While their accomplishments on the ice speak for themselves, I’m also very proud of how they carried themselves off the ice. They were supportive and encouraging teammates, and made friendships that will last far beyond the end of the season. They volunteered at the Dinomite's Billy Saint Mane Tournament as refs, scorekeepers, and snow shovelers. The work ethic and enthusiasm helped the tournament run smoothly.
