Season Recap
The Moorhead Bantam AA had an extremely successful season this year, posting wins over many of the top teams in the state. The Spuds had win streaks of nine and 11 games during the year and won the Spirit of Duluth Tournament, with victories over three State Tournament participants.
One of the most memorable moments of the season came in what ended up being the team's final game of the year. After losing a close game to Hermantown in the North Region championship, the team had to face Duluth East later that day for the final state berth. Trailing Duluth East 0-1 after two periods. the Spuds exploded in the third period, scoring three goals in a span of 40 seconds and six total, to earn a 6-2 win and a trip to state.
