Season Recap
None of our players or families will ever forget the moment we found out the State Tournament was canceled. If we had all been together at that time, it may have been less painful, but not by much. We were all in shock and disbelief; it was surreal. We didn't even get to celebrate our players at an End of Season party [yet].
None of our players had ever made it past the District Tournament. We started out the season [almost] unstoppable (going 24-2-2) and then late in the season, we started to struggle (going 3-5-2) and had to figure out how to get our groove back. Once we got over that hump, the players were back at it. Our players came out of District 3 and the West Region as the #1 seed. We are all so proud of these kids!
As much success as our players had on the ice with wins/losses, we are most proud of how they conducted themselves. They became great teammates, they treated their opponents/officials with respect and excelled in the classroom. When faced with challenges at the end of the year they were resilient and continued to work hard.
A lot of our great memories and bonding experiences are featured in the video clip (the players always told me I took too many pictures!).
This was a special season. We are so grateful for this group of players, coaches, and families.
