We were humbled and honored to join seven other great and accomplished hockey teams in the 2020 Minnesota Hockey Bantam B State Tournament. Congratulations to all the players, coaches and families that were part of the final eight teams!
The Minnetonka Bantam B1 team had a solid season, finishing the year with a 36-10-3 record. Every game in District 6 was a battle this year. Thank you Edina, Prior Lake, Chaska Chanhassen and Shakopee for your competitiveness and for bringing it every night this season. We were fortunate to have a very solid group of 2nd year players and a skilled bunch of 1st year players. The team had a great balance of scoring, forechecking and defense across three lines. Our goaltending, comprised of two very skilled players, was very solid and kept us in every game. We also had a dedicated group of coaches and parents that invested a lot of time and energy into this season. Most important for our coaching staff was the locker room. Our kids took care of each other and played unselfish hockey all year long. That was the difference maker for our team.
Thank you Minnetonka players and coaches! Your hard work, dryland training, and intense on-ice practices paid off this season.
