The Futures Development Program provides an opportunity for players to train under a Minnesota and USA Hockey American Development Model curriculum taught by coaches trained in these skill development protocols. Registration is limited and on a first-come first-serve basis.
There will be a 15U program for 2010 and 2011 birth years, and a 13U program for 2012 and 2013 birth years. The program begins after the conclusion of the Youth State Tournaments and ends with the program's 5v5 event. Some Districts may choose to combine ice times and skill development sessions with boys & girls and/or 15U and 13U.
The Futures Development Program is designed to provide a fun and dynamic developmental opportunity for skaters and goalies during the Spring. Player development is the core focus of this program:
The Futures Development Program allows athletes to participate in other sports during the spring. It is strongly encouraged that athletes participate in and prioritize other in-season sports, even if that means missing some designated ice sessions.
Cost per Player: $425.00
