Youth High Performance 18U League

The CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Fall Leagues provide the top players in Minnesota a chance to play with and against the best players in the state. For the 2025-26 season, the Youth 18U classification is for high school players born in 2007 & 2008 The League is conducted in accordance with USA Hockey rules and all teams are eligible for USA Hockey’s Tier II National Championships.

The 18U League will have five or six teams pending program participation competing, with game weekends beginning in mid-August. There will be eight regular season weekends, followed by League playoffs in late October.

All teams will compete in the NAHL Showcase in September, The NAHL is working to finalize its plan for an October showcase and the league anticipates participating in it. These events, which will be held at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minn., will provide league teams with excellent competition and also provide an excellent exposure opportunity for players to show their abilities.

The season will conclude prior to high school season and schedule allows you to participate in other fall sports or hockey training programs including your high School captain's practices!

MN HP 18U League Tryouts

Tryouts will be held for the Moose, Lakers, Walleye and Green Giants teams May 14 - 18. Tryouts will consist of one weeknight session and final evaluation on May 19th.

The Voyaguers tryout schedule will be held late July/early August. The date and location should be finalized soon.

Tryout information will be sent to all players that we have contact info for starting April 8th (after the conclusion of the USA Hockey National Tournaments have concluded.

Voyageurs claim Playoff championship

The Voyageurs defeated the Gray Ducks 2 - 0 in the league playoff championship game. First period goals by Will Cymbaluk, assisted by Michael Schmidt and Job Carpenter and Will Haarklau assisted by Luke Avery and Dylan Clayton was the offense the team needed. An overall solid team effort made the goals stand up. Hunter Moreland and Evan Sundell combined to stop all 20 Gray Ducks shots.

The Voyageurs are coached by Sean Graves and Adam Shykes.

The Voyageurs reached the championship game by defeating the Moose 7 - 4 in the semi-final game.

2025 YOUTH 18U SCHEDULE

Tryout Schedule:

May 14 - 18 Tryouts for the Moose, Walleye, Lakers and Green Giants will consist of one weeknight session and final evaluation on May 18th.
Tryout for the North Voyageurs team will be held late July or early August and we are working to finalize the date and location.

Aug. 16 - Oct. 26 2025 - League games & Playoffs (No league games Labor Day weekend and MEA weekend. Metro teams may have a few week night games in addition to the weekends below.)
League teams will participate in playoffs.
