Hopkins Seeks Youth Travel Coordinator

Hopkins Youth Hockey Association is searching for a Youth Travel Coordinator, to oversee our Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam teams.  This position works closely with the coaches on each team, the Coach in Chief, the ACE Coordinator, and the entire Player Development Committee.  This is a stipended position.  To apply, please submit a statement of interest or hockey resume to Bill Winter at president@hopkinshockey.com.

South St. Paul Seeks Director of Coaching

This position requires an enthusiastic and professional individual with in-depth knowledge and appreciation of USA Hockey’s ADM skill development programs and objectives to assemble and manage a staff of quality team coaches that will work closely with our SSPYHA Hockey Operations Committee to ensure that the proper curriculum is taught our member players, so that they continually meet and/or exceed their maximum potential on a regular basis.

Kennedy Hockey (KHBC) Peewee and Squirt Coach Openings

The Kennedy Hockey Booster Club (KHBC) is looking for Squirt and Peewee Level Coaches to serve the Bloomington Kennedy/Richfield Hockey (BKRH) Program. 

We are passionate about growing hockey in our community and recognize that coaches are critical to developing our players and our program.  We are looking for candidates that can serve as Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches for multiple years in the program.   

Criteria:  BKRH believes hockey knowledge is expected to coach at this level.  BKRH is looking for coaches that meet the following criteria:

  • Philosophy and approach that fully embraces the USA Hockey ADM.
  • Teacher:  Squirts continues to be an important fundamental development age.  We are looking for coaches that have the ability and desire to teach core fundamental skating and stick skills.
  • Organized: Prepare practice plans that utilize the full ice and concepts of the USA ADM philosophy (e.g., small area games, multiple stations, high on-ice coach to player ratio)
  • Collaborative: Highly values of the ideas of others and shares responsibility for outcomes with other on-ice and off-ice leaders.
  • Good Communicators
    • Provide written feedback/reviews to players during the season
    • Comfortable communicating with other coaches and families
  • Passionate about developing our young athletes
  • Experience: We prefer prior hockey coaching and playing experience.
  • USA Hockey Certification: All coaches will have to be USA hockey certified by the start of the hockey season which includes enrollment in the CEP and completion of age appropriate modules.
