Girls High Performance 15

The purpose of the Reebok High Performance Program is to idenify, train, educate, and evaluate Minnesota's best hockey players. The competition throughout our program gives each player the opportunity to measure themselves against others in her age group, gain knowledge about her development and be exposed to outstaning coaching

  • Phase 1: Players will participate in tryouts within their Minnesota Hockey Districts. Must have 1999 birthdate.
  • Phase 2: The top 30 players from each District will participate in a Development phase, with 20 from each District advancing to Phase 3.
  • Phase 3: The District teams compete in five games, which will include three games at the Girls HP 15 Spring Festival at Braemar Arena in Edina.
  • Phase 4: The top 102 players from the Spring Festival will be selected to compete at the Reebok High Performance Summer Festival in St. Cloud.
  • Phase 5: The top players from the Summer Festival will be selected to the Reebok HP National Prep Camp in Blaine. This camp will offer three and half days of training in the mornings and afternoons. The players will be fed lunch and listen to speakers during this time to help fine tune their game. The players will be able to return home after the afternoon sessions. Players from out state will be offered the opportunity to stay with another player by request. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be full days 9 am to 4 pm. Friday will be a half day with parents picking up thier players at noon at the camps completion. Players will be contacted within one week of registration for details and times.

  • Phase 6: Players will attend the USA Hockey Girls 15 Player Development Camps.

The Spring and Summer Festivals provide an excellent opportunity to be seen by college coaches. In addition, players have the opportunity to be evaluated for potential participation in national camps.

Traditionally, Minnesota has had about 50% turn over in players selected to national camps from one year to the next. In 2012, there was a 56% turn over from the previous year's 15 list and 40% turn over from the previous year's 16 list. This is proof of the large talent base here in Minnesota, our dedication to a fair, non-biased evaluation process, and the continued development of our players.
