The purpose of the Rebook High Performance Program is to identify, train, educate and evaluate Minnesota’s best hockey players. The competition in our Spring Festival and Final 54 gives each player the opportunity to measure themselves against others in his age group, gain knowledge about his development and to be exposed to outstanding coaching.
The Spring Festival and Final 54 provide an excellent opportunity for our players to be seen by college coaches and scouts. Over the course of the events many college, junior and NHL coaches/scouts comment on how well the event is run and how it is an amazing opportunity to have so many great hockey players under one roof.
The process to evaluate players for national level consideration is done by an evaluation staff made up of high school coaches, college coaches and NHL scouts. Our staff works diligently, tirelessly and with great sense of dedication to make sure our kids are evaluated fairly.
Traditionally Minnesota has had about 50% turn over in players selected from one year to the next. 2012 was no different with 58% turn over from last year’s National 15 list and 38% turn over from last year’s National 16 list. This is proof of the large talent base here in Minnesota, the non-bias evaluation process, and the continued development of our players.
