Minnesota Hockey

The mission of the MHRL is to teach kids the fundamentals of ice hockey in a  recreational environment; to foster a spirit of sportsmanship and fair play; to provide a setting where learning about the game of hockey is fun and safe; and to promote affordable youth hockey opportunities in the Twin Cities metro area.

2011-12 Recreational League information

• Registration is closed.  If you would like to be placed on a waiting list should spots open up, please email your contact information and age of child(ren) to info@minnesotahockey.org. 
• The season will begin with a clinic on Saturday, December 3rd (location/time TBD).  Games will begin in early January.  Rosters, schedules and more information will be emailed soon.
• The cost of the 2011-12 Rec League season will be $290. 
• There will be two age classifications: 15U and 12U.  Both age classification will be co-ed and no-check.
• Ice times and locations are still being secured.  Arenas throughout the Twin Cities metro area will be used. 
• There will be one(1) game per week, almost always on a Saturday or Sunday (never on Sunday mornings).  There will also be a handful of practices and/or 90-minute game sessions.  For 90 minute game sessions, the first 20-25 minutes will be a shared practice for both teams and will be followed by the game.
