The CCM High Performance Boys 18 provides players born in 1997 & Juniors in High School with the opportunity to participate with and against the top players in Minnesota at their age level. The program consists of two phases as follows:
Spring Festival Weekend: Four teams are formed by combining the high school sections (Sections 1 & 3, Sections 2 & 6, Sections 4 & 7, Sections 5 & 8). Each coach has the ability to nominate players, and the Festival coaches select the players that will participate.
Each team is provided up to two hours of practice ice time and will participate in three games at the HP 18 Spring Festival. Players will be evaluated at the Spring Festival and 20 will be selected to play in the CCM Minnesota High School Hockey National Invitational Tournament.
Dates: March 29 – 31, 2015 at Wakota Arena
CCM Minnesota High School Hockey National Invitational Tournament (NIT): The CCM NIT is an annual showcase tournament featuring the top high school hockey players in the country. Each year Minnesota enters a team of players selected from the HP 18 and Great 8 Festivals. Last year teams from Wisconsin, Michigan, Massachusetts & North Dakota participated. The showcase is held in conjunction with the CCM High Performance 16 & 17 Final 54, attracting junior, college and professional scouts.
