2018 State Tournament Locations Announced

St. Paul, MN – September 12, 2017 – Minnesota Hockey today announced the host sites for the 2018 Minnesota Hockey State and Region Tournaments. For the fifth consecutive year, The Drive to State is presented by Chevy, and will be highlighted by 14 State Tournaments hosted by nine communities. Region Tournaments will be played March 2 through 4, followed by State Tournaments being played March 16 through 18.

The 14 State Tournaments will be played at nine locations throughout Minnesota. The host sites will be Fogerty Arena in Blaine (Junior Gold A, Junior Gold B, Junior Gold 16), Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis (Bantam AA, Bantam A), Municipal Athletic Complex in St. Cloud (Bantam B, Peewee B), Essentia Health Heritage Center in Duluth (Peewee AA, Peewee A), St. Croix Rec Center in Stillwater (19U), Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center in Thief River Falls (15U A), HealthEast Sports Center in Woodbury (15U B), Eden Prairie Community Center in Eden Prairie (12U A) and Doug Woog Arena in South St. Paul (12U B). The 2018 Minnesota Hockey State Tournament locations are as follows:

Minnesota Hockey’s Region Tournaments will take place at 29 locations in Minnesota as teams look to qualify for State. The Metro League playdowns to determine Junior Gold State participants will take place at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine. The 15U B Region Tournaments will be added if needed later this season. The Minnesota Hockey Region Tournament locations are as follows:

* The Minnesota Hockey Board of Directors has permanently approved a change of the Girls’ 14U classification to 15U.
