The 2017 CCM High Performance Tier I Leagues, presented by Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine, kicked off this past weekend with its first games of the season. The Girls Tier I 14U League took a trip north to play at AMSOIL Arena, and the Youth Tier I 14U & 15O Leagues hosted its first weekend in St. Cloud.

In addition to intense competition on the ice, players had the opportunity to interact with college hockey coaches at their respective locations. The Youth 14U/15 players received a tour of National Hockey Center, and the Girls 14U players had the chance to hear from former Harvard goaltender and Duluth native Laura Bellamy, who is entering her third season as assistant coach at UMD.
