The Minnesota Wild, in partnership with Minnesota Hockey, the Minnesota Hockey Officials Association and USA Hockey, today announced the Minnesota Wild First-Year Youth Hockey Referee Seminar and Clinic for first-year officials on Saturday, Sept. 30. The full-day event will provide new officials the chance to complete the seminar requirement for their USA Hockey Level 1 certification at the Minnesota Wild executive offices from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., before attending the Minnesota Wild preseason game against the Dallas Stars at 7 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center. During the event, participants will also have the chance to skate on the Xcel Energy Center ice, and will take part in a Q&A session with NHL referees.

"We are excited to announce the launch of our First-Year Youth Hockey Referee Seminar and Clinic," said Minnesota Wild Director of Community Relations and Hockey Partnerships, Wayne Petersen. "Officials play a critical role in the continued growth of hockey, and we believe this event will be a great opportunity to create excitement about officiating throughout the State of Hockey."

The event's $30 registration fee includes access to the clinic, lunch and one ticket to that evening's Wild preseason game at Xcel Energy Center. A limited supply of additional tickets are available for attendees to purchase. Game tickets will be distributed upon the completion of the clinic. To purchase additional game tickets, please reference the clinic confirmation email.
