Sydney Breza (Shattuck-St. Mary's) had four goals and an assist, in leading Section 1A/1AA to a 6-4 victory over Section 2A/2AA.  The team jumped out to a 3-0 lead on goals by Marissa Ageter (Farmington), Breza, and Lily Holtz (Austin).  With 20 seconds remaining in the first half, Emily Olson (Delano) put Section 2A/2AA on the board, and back in the game.  In the second half, Breza gave her team a three goal buffer with her second goal of the game.  But Section 2A/2AA quickly responded with two goals by Bailey Burton (Bloomington Jefferson) and Alex Hantge (Hutchinson) to cut the lead to one goal, where it remained for eight minutes.  Within a span of 33 seconds, Sydney Breza notched her third and fourth goals to put the game out of reach.  Emily Olson completed the scoring to bring the score to a 6-4 final.  Mikayla Pahl (Rochester) and Kallie Schneider (Lakeville North) combined to make 23 saves in the winning effort; and Cassie Reed (New Ulm) & Maddie Wilsey (Roseville) combined for 24 saves.

Section 6A/6AA completed their weekend by capturing third place in the Spring Festival, with a 3-2 victory over Section 7A/7AA. This fast-paced, back and forth affair saw Section 6A/6AA take the lead twice, only to have Section 7A/7AA counter to even the score.  Sophie Rausch (Fergus Falls) finally broke the stalemate for good with 5:25 left to go in the second half, with an assist going to Kiera Ryan (Cretin-Derham Hall).  Malloery Uihlein (Edina) and Elizabeth Mewes (Minneapolis) each contributed single tallies in the winning effort.  Scoring for Section 7A/7AA were Halle Johnson (Elk River/Zimmerman) and Allie Bussey (Hibbing/Chisholm).  Megan Meyers (Cretin-Derham Hall) and Elli Strittmater (Edina) turned aside 15 shots in posting the win.  Abbie Edstrom (Hibbing Chisholm) and Rachel Miller (Saint Francis/Cambridge-Isanti) countered with 25 saves on 28 shots for Section 7A/7AA.

SECTION 5A/5AA - 4, SECTION 4A/4AA - 3

The championship game of the Spring Festival certainly lived up to its billing. End to end action was the general rule of the game, as the lead changed hands three times before Section 5A/5AA finally prevailed 4-3.  Olivia Mobley (Breck) notched a power play goal with 8:53 remaining in the second half to tie the game and six minutes later, Mannon McMahon (Maple Grove) scored the game winner.  Abigail Delarosa (White Bear Lake) opened the scoring for Section 4A/4AA early in the first half.  Section 5A/5AA responded quickly, tying the game on a goal by Lily Delianedis (Blake) just forty seconds later.  As time was running down in the first half, Erica Lieske (Minneapolis) gave Section 5A/5AA their first lead of the day.  Section 4A/4AA was not to be overshadowed, and early in the second half, evened the game on a goal by Kaitlyn Kaufman (Hill-Murray).  Midway through the first half Section 4A/4AA seized the lead back on a goal by Emma Dornseif (Mahtomedi).  Mobley and McMahon then completed the scoring, securing the festival title for Section 5A/5AA.  Maddison Lehto (Roseville) and Teagen Johnson (Mounds View) made 35 saves while keeping Section 4A/4AA in the game.  Baleigh Shuck (Champlin Park) and Mackenna Stoterau (Centennial) combined for 18 saves, while securing the victory amidst a rapid flurry in the waning minutes of the game.
