ALL MINNESOTA HOCKEY ASSOCIATION AND DISTRICT LEADERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

Minnesota Hockey and Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) are partnering together to host two PCA Leadership Workshops in September. The Leadership Workshops will provide youth hockey district and association leaders in Minnesota with an opportunity to analyze and refine their organization’s culture as they prepare to lead their organization to a successful season in 2016-17.

The first workshop will be held on Sunday, September 18th at 3:00 p.m. in the Centennial Middle School in Lino Lakes, MN.

One week later, on September 25th, another workshop will be held in New Ulm, MN at the New Ulm Country Club at 3:00 p.m.

Minnesota Hockey is a proud partner and supporter of PCA’s mission to create a positive youth sport environment and has been offering member associations a grant program for hosting parent workshops each of the past two seasons. This summer Minnesota Hockey has enhanced those efforts by adding leadership training opportunities. The leadership workshops will provide association leaders with professional training on how to establish a positive culture in their community.

Youth hockey leaders, from the volunteer board members of a local association to the coaches working with young athletes, are all responsible for creating a culture where youth thrive. Developing such a strong culture often depends on having a laser focus on the organization's values by everyone involved.

PCA's workshops assist organizations in all sports by helping create a Development Zone culture that places a primary emphasis on developing Better Athletes, Better People.
