Minnesota Hockey is excited to announce the launch of several new player development initiatives this fall.  These new programs will provide additional support to our community based associations, which have already made Minnesota a leader in player development, to ensure players in Minnesota have the best youth hockey experience possible.

Starting this September and running through early November, Minnesota Hockey will offer affordable skill sessions focused on defensive skills, goaltending and girls’ hockey. Each of the practices will led by professional coaches who will design sessions that emphasize long term athlete development and maximize the number of high quality repetitions each player receives.

“Properly preparing yourself to play this game requires confidence,” said Terry Evavold, Vice President of Hockey Operations for Minnesota Hockey.  “These clinics will help your player develop skills, and they will be a great way for players to start their season and prepare for tryouts.”

These new offerings are based on the success of Minnesota Hockey’s body contact and body checking clinics which are now impacting hundreds of players at the Peewee and Bantam levels each year.

Below is a list and description of the clinics being offered this fall. Registration for the goaltending and defenseman clinics will open on August 2nd, with the girls’ clinics being released at a later date.
