Game # 7:  Minnesota HP 18 - 5, Wisconsin - 5

Minnesota HP 18 rallied from down 3 goals in the third period against Wisconsin to get the 5-5 tie and kept their hopes for a spot in the NIT Championship game alive.  After going up 4-2 after the 2nd period, on goals from Maggie Plaza (2), Amber Heidenreich, and Emma Peterson, it was Wisconsin who struck first just a minute into the third period for the 5-2 lead.  McKenna Ellena assisted on Nicole Unsworth's goal as Wisconsin appeared on their way to a victory.

However, Minnesota wasted no time starting their comeback as Emily Brown scored 17 seconds later on a power play with assists from Madison Nolan and Taylor Wemple. Not two minutes later and Brown assisted on a Jessica Bird short handed goal and suddenly it was 5-4.   After relentless pressure in the final ten minutes of the game, Minnesota got the tying goal with just over a minute left when Nolan scored on a rebound goal to make it 5-5. Not content with the tie, Minnesota U18 continued to pressure in the final minute of the game. With under 20 seconds left they had a clean look for the win, but the shot ricocheted off the cross-bar, out of play and the game ended 5-5.

Game #8: North Dakota - 10, Michigan - 1

North Dakota scored 5 first period goals on their way to a 10-1 win against Michigan in the Girls NIT tournament.  Belle LaCombe and Mariah McCowan each had 2 goals for North Dakota, 16 different skaters recorded points, and goalie Kennedy Blair stooped 7 of 8 shots in the win.  Michigan goalie Olivia Portillo finished with 58 saves.  Michigan also managed to get on the scoreboard.  Courtney Wright scored in the final minutes of the game off assists from Daria Chamness and Lily Kirkman.

Game #9:  Minnesota Seniors - 4, Wisconsin - 0

Minnesota Senior's goalies Chloe Crosby and Marit Larson split time in another shut-out win as they beat Wisconsin 4-0 in their final pool play game.  After a scoreless first period, Minnesota wasted no time getting on the board in the second as Sydney Brodt scored in the first minute on an assist from Taylor Turnquist.  Midway through the second period it was the opposite as Turnquist scored to make it 2-0 on an assist from Brodt.  Five minutes later it was Kaitlin Radke putting the Seniors up 3-0 with assists going to Jordan Radke and Nicole Abraham.  The third period started the same way for Minnesota as they got another goal in the first minute.  Radke got her second of the game to make it 4-0 with the assist going to Sylvia Wallin.  The 4-0 score held for the remainder of the game as Minnesota kept Wisconsin from getting any offense going.

Game #10: North Dakota: 2, Minnesota HP 18: 1

North Dakota denied Minnesota HP 18 their chance to play in Sunday's Championship game by beating them 2-1 on Saturday night.  Lauren Boettcher opened the scoring with just under 4 minutes to play in the first period, on a play set-up by Paige Beebe and Taylor Wemple. Two minutes later, it was North Dakota pulling even at 1-1 when Maia McCowan picked up a loose puck in her end and took it down the ice and fired a wrist shot into the upper corner.  The first period ended at 1-1, with Minnesota needing to keep North Dakota off the scoreboard as well as put up a big number to advance to Sunday's Championship game.  Minnesota's chances at playing in the championship ended halfway through the second period when North Dakota took the lead off a rebound goal scored by Belle Lacombe assisted by Kenley Anderson.  North Dakota's defense took over from that point on as Minnesota was unable to break through for another goal and the game ended at 2-1.
