On Saturday, February 20th, Minnesota Hockey and local associations across the state encouraged kids, ages 4 to 9, to come to a local participating rink and try youth hockey at no cost as a part of USA Hockey's national Try Hockey For Free day.

A total of 28 communities in Minnesota participated by hosting an event at their arena.  Each host provided a limited amount of equipment and supported the new players with current players and coaches.

Notes: Try Hockey For Free Day was held as a part of USA Hockey's Hockey Weekend Across America which featured an entire weekend of events at the local and national level to promote hockey. The national Try Hockey For Free day is presented by Kraft and included over 300 participating associations across the country.
