Feb. 21st – District Tournaments must be completed
Feb. 26th - 28th – Region Tournaments
March 11th -13th – State Tournaments
In Minnesota Hockey Region Tournaments, a double elimination format is used to determine which teams will play in the State Tournament for each level. Each district receives a pre-determined number of spots in Regions as indicated in the Minnesota Hockey Handbook.
At the Peewee A & B and Bantam A & B age levels, four districts will send two teams to Region Tournaments (Districts 2, 9, 10 and 15). The rest of the districts will have three teams advancing to Region Tournaments. The district teams will be assigned to the following regions:
North Region – Districts 10, 11 and 12.
South Region – Districts 4, 6 and 9.
East Region – Districts 2, 3 and 8.
West Region – Districts 5, 15 and 16.
Please note the Region Tournaments for Girls 12U, Girls 15U and Girls 19U, Peewee and Bantam AA and Junior Gold follow different formats. Click on the appropriate link for your level to view more information.
Each of the Region Tournaments for Peewee and Bantam will send two teams to the State Tournament.
For Girls' State Tournaments, three teams will advance from each American and National Region, and two teams will advance to state from the Olympic Regions.
In state tournaments, the qualifying teams will compete in a standard championship bracket format with 3rd place and consolation games.
