Over 1,000 kids participated in Try Hockey For Free day across 54 communities in Minnesota.

On Saturday, November 7th, Minnesota Hockey and local associations across the state encouraged kids, ages 4 to 9, to come to a local participating rink and try youth hockey at no cost as a part of USA Hockey's national Try Hockey For Free day.

A total of 54 communities in Minnesota participated by hosting an event at their arena.  Each host provided a limited amount of equipment available and supported the new players with current players and coaches.

Notes: Try Hockey For Free Day is part of Come Play Hockey Month, which provides children the opportunity to play hockey, with the support of the National Hockey League and NHL member clubs.
