Minnesota Hockey's interactive social media sessions will kick off on Monday, October 26th with High Performance Director, Mike MacMillan

Minnesota Hockey is excited to announce the return of its interactive social media program, High Performance Hockey Insights. Last season, the #HockeyInsights campaign generated thousands of engagements between our youth hockey members and some of hockey’s brightest minds on Facebook and Twitter.

This season High Performance Hockey Insights will take place on a biweekly basis starting Monday, October 26th.  Each hockey expert will spend one hour answering questions on a Monday night and be featured in a short video with additional development information on Facebook later that week.

"We are excited to launch the High Performance Hockey Insights Twitter Takeover for all Minnesota players and parents,” said CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Director, Mike MacMillan. “These experts know what it takes to be the best of the best from the State of Hockey.”

As a leader in player development, Minnesota Hockey places a priority on connecting current hockey players and parents with hockey experts in an effort to provide them with information they need to be successful.  This program takes that one step further, allowing everyone in the Minnesota Hockey community the chance to not only learn from but interact with coaches and leaders from all levels of hockey.

“Parents all want the same thing for the player - the best development experience possible,” said MacMillan. “The problem is there is way too much information to sort through it all, and much of it is misguided!  With all of this noise, as I like to call it, parents and players miss out on what they are actually looking for. Think of this as a chance to educate yourself on doing it right, not just doing it.”

MacMillan, who also serves as the National Coach-in-Chief for USA Hockey, will kick of the #HockeyInsights program by making taking over Minnesota Hockey’s Twitter for one hour starting at 6:30 PM on Monday, October 26th. In addition, the following hockey experts will be joining us on High Performance Hockey Insights this season with more being announced in the coming weeks

  • Guy Gosselin, Regional ADM Manager, USA Hockey
  • Reagan Carey, Director of  Women’s Ice Hockey, USA Hockey
  • Christian Koelling, Coach-in-Chief, Minnesota Hockey

Players and parents can submit questions at any time by email or on Twitter by tweeting @MinnHockey and using #HockeyInsights.
