The stars were shining bright at the Minnesota Wild's home preseason game against the Winnipeg Jets this Sunday. Not only did the home team put on a show with an 8-1 win, but the Wild also hosted its annual Disabled Hockey Night.

Disabled Hockey Night is held each year in an effort to promote that hockey in Minnesota is truly for everyBODY.  The programs of Minnesota Special Hockey, Minnesota Sled Hockey and the Minnesota Warriors all participate in game festivities including the Wild flag bearer, Let's Play Hockey chant and playing during intermissions. This year's Disabled Hockey Night also capped off Minnesota Disabled Hockey's time as the Minnesota Wild's Charity of the Month.

Minnesota Disabled Hockey takes pride in providing a structure that enables kids and adults to experience the joy of playing ice hockey and the feeling of being on a team.  Together, Minnesota's disabled hockey programs make up the largest group of disabled players in the nation!

A special thank you goes out to the Minnesota Wild, supporters of Minnesota Disabled Hockey and everyone that helped host Disabled Hockey Night!  We appreciate your help reminding people that hockey is for everyBODY in Minnesota.  For more information on any of the Minnesota Disabled Hockey programs, click here.
