Nearly 100 of the top boys and girls players from Minnesota in the 1998/1999 birth years have been selected for one of USA Hockey's Summer Development Camps.

Minnesota Hockey today announced its selectees for the 2015 USA Hockey Select 16 and 17 National Player Development Camps.  The top boys and girls hockey players were selected to represent Minnesota following their performances at the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Final 54 Festivals held at Plymouth Ice Center and Braemar Arena.

“We’re excited to announce the players that will be representing Minnesota at the national camps this summer,” said High Performance Director, Mike MacMillan. “This is a great moment in each of their young careers. It will be an opportunity for them to train with and against the best players in the country.”

The boys selected will take part in the USA Hockey Boys’ Select 16/17 Player Development Camps in Amherst, New York. The Boys’ Select 16 will be held July 7 – 13. The Boys’ Select 17 camp will take place June 26 – July 2.

The girls selected will also be split into two groups.  The first group of girls will be invited to the Under-18 Select 66 Camp on June 27 - July 3 in Biddeford, Maine, where they will have the opportunity to compete for a roster spot on the 2016 US Women's Under-18 team.  In addition, another 39 girls will be attending the USA Hockey Under-18 Player Development Camp in St. Cloud, MN on July 8 - 14.
