Get ready for another great weekend of hockey! The sixth annual Hockey Weekend Across America presented by CCM is February 15-17. 

Hockey Weekend Across America is a three day, nationwide hockey extravaganza.  It is a time to celebrate the game we love by getting involved in any way you can and inviting new people to play for their first time.

Each of the three days has its own theme.  Friday is “Wear Your Favorite Jersey Day”. Saturday will feature the second national Try Hockey for Free day of the season, sponsored by the NHL. Then, finish out the weekend by celebrating your local hockey heroes on Sunday.

Friday, Feb. 15 is your chance to show everyone how proud you are to be hockey players and fans by busting out your prized hockey jersey. Whether you are donning a brand new Zach Parise jersey with hopes of spurring a Wild winning streak or dusting of that red, white and blue David Backes jersey in preparation of the Sochi Olympics, don’t miss out on this occasion when parading around in your favorite hockey jersey isn’t just allowed, but highly encouraged.

Saturday, Feb. 16 presents opportunities for kids throughout the state to Try Hockey for Free. Arenas will offer kids age four to nine the chance to play hockey at no cost and with no required commitments.  They will even provide hockey equipment for your child to use during the event. Complete the weekend experience with “Celebrate Local Hockey Heroes” day on Sunday, Feb. 17.  In Minnesota, our community based hockey programs are literally filled with local hockey heroes. Make a special effort to say thank you to all of the coaches, parents, managers, and administrators that volunteer their time so you can play hockey!

In addition, CCM is providing hockey players and fan across the country the opportunity to win new gear. Enter the Hockey Weekend Across America “Pick Six Sweepstakes” by Feb. 17 and you could win one of three grand prizes - the choice of six of 12 CCM products, including a hockey stick, hockey gloves, helmet/facemask combo, hockey pants, shoulder pads, shin pads, hockey bag, elbow pads, winter jacket, mini-hockey set, sports bag or golf bag.  CCM will also be awarding a special CCM hockey stick to three daily winners and 30 custom hats as consolation prizes over the course of Hockey Weekend Across America.
