Fair Play is one component of the Minnesota Hockey’s Hockey Education Program (HEP). Fair Play holds all stakeholders in youth hockey accountable for their actions. Proper behavior is rewarded and improper behavior is penalized.
The Fair Play system will be used in all league games. Fair Play points will count in league standings and will be used to determine final league standings.
Each team will start the game with their Fair Play point. A team will lose it's Fair Play point if total Fair Play equivalent PIM exceed the threshold established for the level of play, a coach is assessed a Game Misconduct or Match Penalty, or per Minnesota Hockey Conduct Rule XIV.C.2 a spectator is requested to leave the arena by an official.
