This is your chance to recognize the wonderful volunteers in your association

The Total Hockey Volunteer of the Month recognizes the many wonderful off-ice volunteers that are so vital to the success of a hockey association. Ice Scheduler, Team Manager, Tournament Director, Mites Coordinator, Recruiting Chairperson….the list is endless! Total Hockey and Minnesota Hockey want to make sure that the time and energy these volunteers selflessly dedicate to hockey is properly acknowledged.

“We honor the dedication of passionate volunteers who are instilling fun and respect of the game in kids, and joy to families,” says Katy Benoit of Total Hockey. “And the Minnesota community based model of hockey succeeds because of tremendous volunteers who work tirelessly to positively impact players’ growth and character. When those players are thinking about who to thank for their love of the game, we know it is the volunteers who stand out!”

Nominees should:
• Promote the three focus areas of Minnesota Hockey: growth, development and safety
• Think about all kids, not just their own or a special group, when making decisions
• Create a fun and exciting atmosphere that kids want to be a part of
• Act as a role model for parents, peers and potential volunteers

One volunteer will be featured each month in the Minnesota Hockey Newsletter, Let’s Play Hockey, and on the Minnesota Hockey website. That volunteer will also receive a $50 Total Hockey gift card. In addition, five sets of starter hockey gear will be contributed in his/her name to their association, courtesy of Total Hockey.

Do you know someone that should be considered for the Total Hockey Volunteer of the Month? Fill out an application now to nominate him or her!  You only need to nominate someone one time per year. All nominees will be considered each month for the Total Hockey Volunteer of the Month throughout the season they were nominated.
