St. Paul, MN – February 13th, 2024 – Minnesota Hockey announced today the opening of registration for the new Next Level Prep program.

Next Level Prep is a program centered on meaningful athletic development, primarily away from the rink. Tying together contemporary best practices, Minnesota Hockey will provide a platform for players to experience and learn about training methods that will foster confidence and continuous improvement in hockey and beyond.

The 2024 program will take place in May and June, and there will be 2 program locations – Golden Valley (Scheid Park) and Coon Rapids (immediately outside of Coon Rapids Ice Center). Each location will be open on a first-come-first-served basis to players with 2009 to 2012 birth years and will provide participants with ~15 hours of instructor-led, technology-supported training.

With a focus on education and growth in speed, quickness, acceleration, agility, cognition, coordination, strength, endurance, balance and overall physical literacy, the Next Level Prep program will be a valuable experience for athletes who are seeking to elevate their game in preparation of higher levels of play.

Registration for Next Level Prep is $300. In addition to the training sessions, program participants will be provided with a program t-shirt and a culminating individual athletic testing report. Minnesota Hockey has scheduled two informational sessions for players and/or families who may want to learn more about the program before committing to registration. The Zoom links below will provide access to those sessions.
